"Lord, what are you working out in my soul?"

If you feel like you are fighting against the wind then chances are you are fighting against the wind my friend. When we begin to focus on external results we take ownership of something God never intended for us. Whether your goals are to take better care of yourself or take up space in your business, when you begin to allow the idea of results to drive your expectations it's easy to just throw in the towel. This is a cycle I have known too well and it's possible to break but I'm going to be raw when I share this with you- it will be a process. When the pressure of life feels like a repetitive cycle of strain it causes us to live out of a defensive place of resisting, guarding and arguing against everything that comes our way until we find ourselves in a shell of existence.

But everything in God's kingdom is an OFFENSIVE style of living - where we gain ground through yielding to God, exposing lies that have kept us bound, and cultivating peace in our soul. This is a process that is easy but progressive. It requires a shift because we are used to hustling for everything we have but what if God is inviting you to a place of rest? Where you don't hustle but everything flows from who you are and not what you do?

The external pressures of life point to what's really going on in your soul. Instead of rushing past the pressure, accept this invitation to ask " Lord, what are you working out in my soul?"

I've experienced what it's like to hide in denial of where I really am when it comes to the state of my soul so that I can look well but I've come to a place where I want to be well. As I've been walking through the process of allowing the Lord to heal my soul and step into wholeness I've realized that I was stuck in a cycle of shame. I didn't just believe I was doing the wrong thing but I believed that something was wrong with me- and this kept me stuck in cycles that didn't serve purpose or direction in my life.

Imperfections do not define who or all that you are before God. God expects for you to be known by him . It's time to face reality - where are you hiding? God isn't hiding from you. He wants you to know him and he desires for you to know what he knows.

Proverbs 2:6- For the Lord gives wisdom from his mouth comes knowledge & understanding.

Wisdom is how you apply what you know. Can I be honest with you ?  If you would get into the right position and allow God to shape you, then you would know what he knows by experience.

All time is in God's hands- there is no reason to rush any process you are walking through.

Daniel 2:21- He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

What you feel like are imperfections are not problems to be solved- God is shaping you. Allow him to be the Potter and you are the clay. Who told you that you were inadequate? ( One that fails to meet expectations or requirements). God's expectations of you are different from your expectations of yourself.

Shift your focus today from all of the externally driven standards of effort and work to the internal call to seek God's kingdom first. This will break the cycle of being stuck and propel you forward into living an authentic life of wellness.
